Coffee Cold Brew |
Cold Brew is coffee that is "brewed" cold.
It gets its unique flavor and aroma by aging. It is sweeter than traditionally brewed coffee and contains more caffeine.
Only cold water is used to "brew" Cold Brew. The ground beans are not subjected to high temperatures, but remain steeped in room temperature water for several hours. The coffee is then filtered. This is a completely different chemical process, which results in a completely different flavor profile for the coffee, being completely free of acidity (or having very, very little). It provides a brilliant refreshment. It replaces energy drinks, and is perfect for drivers on long trips, athletes and people who eat healthy. Cold Brew contains no sugars.

A few words about tea
The tea plant belongs to the genus Camellia, which includes as many as 82 species named mainly in the countries of Southeast Asia. In addition, this genus includes many ornamental plants. Tea probably originates from China, because the earliest mention of it is in the Chinese dictionary from 350 B.C. In 1834, the British began to grow tea in their own colony in India. The first certified batch of tea seeds, which reached Sri Lanka was planted in the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya in December 1839. However, the first commercial tea planting in Sri Lanka was not undertaken by James Taylor until 1867, on 19 acres of land at the Loolecondera Hewahet estate. This was done to test tea as a possible alternative coffee cultivation, which at that time was struggling with the economic downturn. This proved to be a good undertaking because coffee leaf rust disease (Hemileiavastatrix) appeared about 18 months later in 1869, this disease devastated Coffee plantations and eventually destroyed the entire coffee industry within 25 years of its first appearance.
